Lingverso provides online language lessons and language-related services, including translation, proofreading and editing.
Specific services, programs and prices are displayed on the relevant website or price list or communicated to the client before purchase.
2. Free Intro Session
Where offered, the free 20-minute intro session is an opportunity to discuss the learner's goals, level and suitable learning options. Relevant lesson or program options and prices may also be explained during the session.
The free intro session is not a regular language lesson.
3. Lessons & Lesson Packages
Lessons are personalized 1:1 online lessons conducted via Google Meet unless otherwise agreed. Lesson content and pace may be adapted to the learner's level, goals and progress.
Unless a different validity period is communicated before purchase:
- Packages of up to 12 lessons are valid for 3 months from the purchase date.
- Packages of more than 12 lessons are valid for 6 months from the purchase date.
Unused lessons expire after the applicable validity period unless an extension has been agreed in advance.
Learning materials required for lessons are included unless otherwise stated. Materials provided by Lingverso are for the learner's personal educational use and may not be sold, redistributed or publicly shared without permission.
4. Payment & Invoicing
Payment is made by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
Individual lessons must be paid before the scheduled lesson. Lesson packages must be paid in full before the first lesson unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.
For translation, proofreading, editing and other language services, the price and payment conditions are agreed or communicated before the work begins.
Prices are stated in euros (€), unless otherwise indicated. Any bank or transfer fees charged by the client's payment provider are the client's responsibility.
After payment has been received and confirmed, an invoice is issued and sent to the client.
5. Booking, Cancellation & Attendance
Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
Cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours before the lesson. With less than 24 hours' notice, or in the case of a no-show, the lesson is considered used.
If the learner arrives late, the lesson will still normally end at the originally scheduled time.
The learner is responsible for having a suitable internet connection and functioning equipment. Technical problems on the learner's side do not automatically qualify for a replacement lesson.
If Lingverso needs to cancel a lesson, it will be rescheduled without additional charge.
6. Translation & Other Language Services
For translation, proofreading, editing and similar services, the scope of work, price and expected delivery time are agreed or communicated before the work begins.
The client is responsible for providing the materials and information necessary to complete the work and for having the right to provide those materials.
If the client changes the agreed scope, provides additional material or requests substantial additional work, the price and/or delivery deadline may be adjusted. Any such change will be communicated to the client.
Reasonable corrections of errors in the agreed work may be made without additional charge. Changes to the original instructions or additional work may be charged separately.
Unless otherwise agreed, completed work is delivered electronically.
7. Refunds & Learning Results
Lessons and services already provided are generally non-refundable.
Language-learning results depend on participation, practice, consistency, previous knowledge and individual learning pace. No particular level of fluency or other learning outcome is guaranteed.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights provided by applicable law.
8. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
Consumers who conclude a service contract at a distance generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date the contract is concluded, without giving a reason, unless an applicable legal exception applies.
To exercise this right, the consumer must inform Lingverso before the withdrawal period expires by contacting [email protected] with a clear statement of the decision to withdraw.
If the consumer expressly requests that a paid service begin before the 14-day period has ended and later withdraws, they may be required to pay for the part of the service already provided. Where a service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal may be lost where the applicable legal requirements have been met.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that consumers have under mandatory applicable law.
9. Acceptance & Changes
Before purchasing a paid service, the client is provided with or given access to the relevant service information, price and these Terms & Conditions.
By purchasing a service, the client confirms that they have had the opportunity to read these Terms.
These Terms may be updated when services, business practices or legal requirements change. The version applicable to a purchase is generally the version available when the relevant contract is concluded.
